In-Person General Auditions:
April 22nd, 2023: 7pm-9:30pm April 23rd, 2023: 4:30pm-6:30pm Place: The Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts Video General Auditions Due: April 23rd, 2023 - By Midnight Please send a video recording of your audition to Kelly Willis at: ratakwillis@gmail.com Rehearsals & Performances: 1st Rehearsal: "Show 1": June 5th, 2023 Potential Rehearsal Timeframes (Full Rehearsal Conflict Calendar Will be Available at Auditions): Mon. : 7-11:00pm Tues. : 7-11:00pm Wed. : 7-11:00pm Thurs. : 7-11:00pm Fri. : 7-11:00pm Sat. : 7-11:00pm Performances: "Show 1": July 14 - July 23, 2023 |
What To Prepare:
A short monologue or poem to be spoken, and a verse and chorus of a Broadway song to be sung a capella at the audition. Once you have completed your singing and acting auditions, you will also complete a Required Dance Call In-Person at Redmond Academy or email us a video to Kelly Willis (ratakwillis@gmail.com). Callbacks/Dance Call (TBD): April 23rd, 2023: 6:30pm-9pm or April 29th, 2023: 7pm-9pm Full Schedule will be sent via email. *The Dance Call/Callbacks will be held in-person or you can email Kelly Willis (ratakwillis@gmail.com) a video by April 30th: 11:59pm* Call Back Materials will be sent to you if you are unable to attend in person. Discount for siblings and scholarships available Sibling Discount: $50 discount for each additional sibling Tuition (For those ages 19 up): No Tuition; Payment will be provided based on ticket sales. Come and see this dancing, singing, spectacle of a show! Rehearsals will be held at Redmond Academy. Novice, Apprentice, and Associates Program Info
Tuition: $480 (upon audition)

Ages: Elementary Age - 2nd - 5th Academy Apprentice Program Class Time: Saturdays, 10:00am - 1:00pm Complete volunteer tech hours, and may be considered for Technical running crew for the production. Ages: Middle School Age - 6th - 8th Academy Associates Program Class Time: Saturdays, 10:00am - 1:00pm Complete volunteer tech hours, and will be considered for Technical running crew for the production. The Redmond Academy Novice, Apprentice, and Associates programs are for the dedicated musical theatre student who may also be considering any aspect of Musical Theatre as a future career choice and wants to learn more about all parts of the Musical Theatre art form. Training will be on Saturdays from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Classes will include Musical Theatre Dance, Singing, and Acting plus additional workshops scheduled throughout the session. There will also be a required technical theatre aspect involved. The student will decide which technical aspect they would like to fulfill each session. Technical choices include sets, props, costumes, make-up and hair, asst. stage management, asst. director, asst. music director, and asst. choreographer. We encourage our students to audition for shows each session, but will also expect them to participate in a technical position as well.
Our Novice program is for upper Elementary age students and has fewer requirements than our Apprentice program for our Middle School students. The Associates program will also include a play writing element and will work toward presentation of the material they create. Saturday classes will include 1 hour of Dance, 1 hour of Singing, and 1 hour of Acting at the students' level. This is an audition required class and will also include an interview process before enrollment. |
