What to Expect at Auditions

Auditions
Initial auditions will be held in-person at The Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts, usually in Studio C (also known as the Black Box Theatre), there are usually 3-5 directors at the auditions, and we will also record your audition to help us with casting decisions. If you can't make it in person, you can submit an  Audition Intake Form and include your video audition as an unlisted YouTube video within the intake form. 

Callbacks and Dance Call
​The Callbacks and the Dance Call will be held in-person or if you are unable to make it, we will send you a video of the callback materials and you can send a video of you performing the materials. The full schedule will be sent via email after the initial auditions. 

What happens after auditions

Performer
  • Casting decisions will be made by the directors.
  • You will be emailed and informed of the casting decision for you.
  • The casting email will be sent by Monday Sept. 14th by 6pm. 
  • Full conflict calendars will be shared, and you will be invited to the cast and parent kick-off meeting. 
  • Students 18 and under who are not high school graduates pay $800/student for tuition.​

Family Responsibility
  • Tuition for the productions is $800. The tuition includes approximately 100 hours of instruction in voice, acting, dance and staging, 4-8 performance opportunities, discounted class benefits, scripts, cast t-shirt, and all costumes and props.
  • Cast families are expected to contribute ten (10) hours of volunteer time to support the success of the experience for all. Buy out options are available.
  • Please refer to our policies. There are no refunds for production tuition after the first read-throughs.
